It is time to stop hiding. It is time to take action!

"Life in my skin" in an exhibition of photographs of celebrities and people suffering from psoriasis, co-authored by Sasa Sekoranja, academic artist from Zagreb and young Pula photographers Valentina Kaic, Iva Finderle and Vili Paoletic. Celebrities from music, cultural and sports life are united in the public health campaign that encourages the psoriasis patients to cope with their own, often disfiguring, disease.

Public health campaign "Life in my skin" was created by the Croatian Dermatology and Venereology Society of the Croatian Medical Association, the Referral Center for Psoriasis of the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, and the Croatian Psoriasis Association. As a part of this campaign, three photography exhibitions opened in Zagreb, Osijek and Pula, featuring photos of celebrities from music, cultural and sports life together with the psoriasis patients.

By participating in this campaign, Tony Cetinski, Leona Paraminski, Tereza Kesovija, Natasa Janjic, Daniela Trbovic, Ivana Roscic, Gordan Kozulj, Nera Stipicevic, Sandra Bagaric, Prof. Dr. Mirjana Krizmanic, Franko Krajcar, Daniela Nacinovic, Bruno Krajcar, Gabi from band Nola, hosts of the AT Club of Radio Pula and Goran Roce, wanted to help psoriasis patients to cope with their disease more easily, and to encourage the public understanding and acceptance. They combined their efforts to encourage psoriasis patients to seek help and understanding from people around them, friends and the society in general, so to provide them with the necessary support in their coping with this difficult, often disfiguring and therefore stigmatized, inflammatory skin diseases. The exhibition featured photographs taken by the photographers (Sekoranja, Kaic, Finderle, Paoletic) who used their lens to record the emotional moment of support and the encouragement given by the celebrities to the persons who suffer from psoriasis. By doing so, these celebrities sent a message that psoriasis is not a contagious disease and that patients deserve the understanding and support from the society at large.
